Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit | Head tennis coach will provide vision, leadership, and oversight for all aspects of the women's tennis program, to include caching the team; planning, organizing, and supervising team practices; actively identifying, evaluating, and recruiting student-athletes; and working within the NCAA, CIAA, and departmental guidelines. The incumbent will demonstrate a strong commitment to the academic achievement of student-athletes by monitoring and actively encouraging participants to succeed academically and represent the university with the leadership and integrity, both on and off the court. |

Competencies/Knowledge Skills, and Abilities Required in this Position | Considerable knowledge of fitness concepts and techniques, NCAA rules and regulations, and scoring. Familiarity with recruiting and student-athlete concerns. Effective interpersonal and communication skills(oral and written). Ability to work with diverse populations, as part of a team, an collaborate with others. Demonstrated ability to work independently and to maintain confidentiality. |
