Overview: The Director, Implementation Project Management, will both manage projects and lead a team of project managers who will work on projects and processes that will improve the way the provider team conducts business, using feedback from our customers as well as our strategic partners. This individual will have the opportunity to make a difference supporting the growth for the provider business and our customers through building an efficient and scalable project management function that enhances the customer experience while maximizing the time to revenue for all parties. This individual will operationalize key strategic business programs with a common focus on our agility to scale and our partners or customers' experience.

The overall goal will be to implement continuous process improvement to align with Customer Operations strategy by having operational focus on our policies and programs and to reduce the level of effort required by sellers, partners, and customers who do business with INOVALON.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop standardized project tracking and reporting tools, leading project managers and the delivery/completion of successful and complex projects on time, budget and scope;
  • Provide work direction, coaching and performance feedback to project managers while establishing and maintaining positive relationships with relevant business partners;
  • Develop processes and reporting to assist contemporaries with the Implementation team as well as the measurements for Strategic Partner performance;
  • Become a trusted advisor within our organization and cross-functionally with stakeholders, as well as the Sales, Product, Customer Operations, Product and Platform Operations teams supporting holistic solutions for customers;
  • Establish and coordinate reporting across all aspects of business that can be used for analysis and trending reporting;
  • Drive and maintain continuous process improvements in partnership with project managers;
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with business partners and other employees across the organization;
  • Be the voice of operational improvement and data analysis, executing on both small and large initiatives;
  • Develop internal and external relationships and drive alignment across Engineering, Project Management, Customer Operations and Product Leaders;
  • Develop and implement operating mechanisms to support successful execution of programs, keeping a clear eye on reducing the time to revenue;
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks;
  • Hold teams accountable for their commitments and remove roadblocks to their work;
  • Leverage organizational resources to improve capacity for project work;
  • Monitor the overall performance of the department by tracking and analyzing key performance metrics;
  • Establish clear, measurable objectives for the team. Monitor and measure these objectives regularly, providing coaching, recognition and correction as required;
  • Monitor appropriate staffing levels and career development of team;
  • Create and maintain an engaging work culture;
  • Maintain a repository of all lessons learned and ensure application into future efforts;
  • Maintain compliance with Inovalon's policies, procedures and mission statement;
  • Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Inovalon's Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position; and
  • Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Employer.

Background Required:

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience managing medium to large size projects in a high-tech development environment;
  • Experience in customer facing roles;
  • 5 years' experience leading and developing teams;
  • Intermediate ability with MS Project, Excel, SharePoint, and Visio;
  • Ability to quickly grasp new concepts, plan work and execute projects in a fast-paced environment;
  • Able to work consultatively and cross-functionally to identify and implement process and technology improvements;
  • Strong interest in and aptitude for understanding both the business and technical specifics of healthcare; and
  • Detail oriented with a high sense of accountability;

Background Preferred:

  • Experience implementing or maintaining VigiLanz Software at a hospital or health system;
  • Experience in a SaaS based organization
  • Experience in the Healthcare space; and
  • Experience in a medium to large-size company and healthcare/biomedical related business experience.

Education:

  • BA/BS Degree or equivalent is required; and
  • CAPM (PMI), PMP or equivalent experience.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Sedentary work (i.e., sitting for long periods of time);
  • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force;
  • Frequently or constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects and repetitive motions;
  • Subject to inside environmental conditions; and

Travel for this position will include less than 5% locally usually for training purposes

The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. At Inovalon, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.

Base Compensation Range
$132,612$190,000 USD
