All about the role:

We're on the hunt for a resourceful Supplier Development Engineer who is not just looking for a job, but a career filled with opportunity, global challenge, and excitement. This role is pivotal in driving and assisting our strategic suppliers towards achieving enduring enhancements in their performance.

As a Supplier Development Engineer, you will be at the forefront of process efficiency, including but not limited to automation, digitalisation, resource optimisation, and flexibility. You will also be responsible for scouting new technologies that can provide a competitive edge to our suppliers.

Your role will extend beyond process improvements. You will also play a key role in shaping the organizational setup of our suppliers, ensuring that they are structured for success in a global environment with a particular focus on cost structure.

What you'll do:

  • develop a collaborative relationship with key peers (Purchasing, Quality, Operations and R&D and other relevant stakeholders)
  • closely cooperate with Purchasing in developing and keeping a strong relationship with the Suppliers;
  • plan, organize and drive the Supplier Development activities on running business including
    • Use supplier development tools like, Lean assessment, Process mapping, Value Stream mapping, etc. to identify weak areas and propose improvements.
    • Define together with Electrolux management and suppliers' improvements areas (KPI and targets) and priorities.
    • Evaluation, together with the team, if support functions needed for special topics and ensure their participation.
    • monitoring of the follow-up action plan, constant check of the data consistency and proper project execution and timing.
    • check of compliance to the compulsory documents (nomination form, commitment letter and benefit sharing agreement) and Electrolux procedures.
  • Take active part in the Supplier Early Involvment initiatives on new projects by providing proper insight concerning design, process, automation opportunity, packaging standardisation and optimisation of logistic flow, in alignment with the team.

Qualifications required:

  • University degree (Industrial Engineering preferred or any other technical degree).

  • Purchasing experience is considered as a plus.

  • Multi-year experience (at least 3 years) in Manufacturing, Quality or Purchasing, in a multinational environment, as well as in adjacent disciplines like Logistics, Supply Chain are welcomed.

  • Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Tools and Techniques (VSM, TPM, OEE, 5S, SMED, line balancing, wastes elimination).

  • Basic knowledge in Quality and material flow.

  • Basic experience in suppliers process and cost drivers.
