Job Description

Waste Connections has an immediate opening for a highly motivated, organized, results-oriented Senior Tax Analyst in The Woodlands, Texas. This professional self-starter will join the Tax team and participate in the full cycle of direct tax from quarterly tax provisions and estimated tax payments to income tax return filings.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Review of quarterly federal and state estimatedtaxliabilities
  • Preparation and review of annual federal and statetaxreturn extension requests
  • Preparation of adjustments for quarterly financial reporting
  • Preparation of federal, state, and local incometaxreturns
  • Research and respond to IRS and State Revenue Agency notices
  • Keep informed oftaxlaws, regulations, and rulings

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • At least 2 years oftaxcompliance preparation experience
  • CPA is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills in MS Office and OneSourcetaxsoftware experience
