Sr Payroll Administrator

PRIMARY FUNCTION / POSITION OVERVIEW:

This position is responsible for processing all aspects of semi-monthly & weekly pay for Exempt and Non-exempt employees.

* Process payroll for union and semi-monthly within Global View (GV) to ensure accurate and timely running of all payrolls.

* Ensure attention to detail and accuracy of payroll records, excellent problem solving/judgment skills for various employee inquiries and issues.

* Coordinate and process the union vacation payout in January and July. * Coordinate and process the Expat/Inpat pay and yearly updates.

* Process expenses and sends payment to 3rd party vendor.

* Process general ledger entries at the end of each payroll.

* Reconciles payroll-related general ledger and prepares reports or statements summarizing payroll-related accounts. May interface with third-party payroll vendors.

* Inputs changes, which may include changes to employees or employee statuses, exemptions or withholdings, or bank information.

* Creates and sends files out to the union for employee benefits.

* Responsible for monthly reconciliation of benefit and worker's comp invoices.
* Handles complex issues and problems.

Your Experience

EXPERIENCE:

* MUST HAVE previous experience processing weekly & semi-monthly payrolls.

* Knowledge of state, federal and local tax laws.

* Proven customer service skills while maintaining a confidential work environment.

* Proficient in Excel (must have advance excel formula knowledge), Word and Outlook.

* 5-8 years of Payroll processing experience for a multi-state employer with multiple locations.

* Experience with payroll processing and report writing systems such as ADP Time and Attendance, ADP Global View, SAP, Concur.

* Ability to interface with and satisfy the needs of diverse groups-ranging from corporate to operations people

* Ability to effectively communicate information to employees and management.

EDUCATION:

* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field, preferred
