We are looking for a dynamic addition to our IP team. Someone who is flexible and curious with no "sharp elbows."

Come join our expanding group of 22 Intellectual Property professionals, managing a diverse global portfolio of Patents and Trademarks. We are looking to add to our IP Operations team of four paralegals, to assist with their expanding roles with a special emphasis on IP litigation support. This experienced team member would also assist with the daily operations and management of our patent portfolio, outside firm management, litigation calendaring, docketing, litigation budget management, invoice review, and general support of the IP team.

What You'll Do
  • Dispute, pre-litigation and litigation support for in-house counsel such as;
    • Discovery, calendaring response and hearing dates, litigation holds, organizing and maintaining litigation documents and files, searching for and retrieving documents, preparing communications, obtaining signatures.
    • Establish best practices and workflows that will support the litigation process.
  • Communicating relevant information to key stakeholders and preparing litigation updates for the Board of Directors quarterly.
  • Managing the dispute dashboard and creating a digital platform to manage all dispute and litigation matters.
  • Managing external counsel and their related invoices.
  • Working in a cross-functional matrix with business unit leadership and stakeholders related to disputes and litigation.
  • Cross-functional support of IP Operations and IP team daily activities.
  • Training of Lam procedures and IP portfolio management system will be provided; however, the candidate is expected to have prior experience handling most of the responsibilities described above.
Who We're Looking For
  • Be professional, intellectually curious, creative, innovative, proactive, tech savvy, approachable and kind.
  • Have 4-7 years of paralegal experience working in corporate intellectual property litigation. A mix of law firm and in-house experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Paralegal Certificate, preferred but not required.
  • Extensive knowledge of in-house corporate legal departments which requires good judgement and the ability to practice discretion.
  • Self-motivated, ability to work independently and efficiently.
  • Ability to perform research, manage discovery, calendar, maintain litigation docket.
  • Have a general understanding of the patent prosecution lifecycle.
  • Acute attention to detail, writing, research, organizational and analytical skills.
  • Clear and professional communication skills both written and oral, with the ability to effectively communicate with colleagues around the world.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office suite of tools such as Word, PowerPoint, OneDrive, SharePoint, Outlook, Excel, Teams and similar technologies including portfolio management systems and USPTO Patent Center.
