Sr. Maintenance Tradesperson assists in repairing and maintaining machinery and production equipment and installs functional and structural parts within the facility. Performs and trains others on preventative maintenance of production equipment and machinery and performs a wide variety of maintenance-related tasks.

Responsibilities
* Responsible for performing periodic preventative maintenance on equipment
* Run basic jobs on small engine lathes, milling machines, and drill presses
* Operate a wide variety of power and hand tools
* Make repairs to facility and production equipment in a safe and timely manner
* Prioritize and assign work orders to decrease downtime
* Understand blueprints and schematics and accurately make print changes when modifications are made to repair facility equipment
* Perform routine plumbing repairs. Some soldering and threading of pipes may be needed
* Maintain lighting systems to include replacing lamps, tubes and bulbs inside and outside the building
* Assist production teams in constructing workstations and production tools with an emphasis on continuous improvement
* Maintain HVAC equipment (tightening belts, changing filters)
* Assemble and move furniture, hang pictures and bulletin boards and paint as needed
* Enforce and maintain safety standards, procedures and policies set by the organization, OSHA and other regulatory agencies
* Complete status reports on work orders and report out weekly to leadership utilizing VDM

Qualifications
* High School diploma or equivalent and minimum 5 years' experience in related field
* Knowledge of trades related to building repair and maintenance
* Knowledge of machinery and production equipment
* Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions
* Ability to read basic measuring devices (tape measure, micrometer, vernier caliper) and perform basic math
* Detail oriented, self-motivated, hands-on individual with excellent communication and problem-solving skills with managing multiple project priorities at the same time
* Demonstrated experience in training others in mechanical, pneumatic, electrical and hydraulic systems
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Proficient with Microsoft Office
* Basic knowledge of LEAN principles preferred
