All about the role:

Are you a Lab enthusiast looking for an exciting opportunity? We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual to join our team at our Tech center in Charlotte, NC as a Compliance Laboratory Specialist.

This role will be responsible for conducting laundry & dishwasher compliance tests to achieve certifications with regulatory bodies.

The testing will support current dish care & fabric care product development projects and cost & quality initiatives.

What you'll do:

  • Be responsible for performing energy and safety testing of dishwashers, washers, and dryers according to regulatory test procedures (Underwriter's Laboratory, Department Of Energy, & National Sanitization Foundation, Component level testing).

  • Complete testing with minimal supervision.

  • Collect and summarize test data supporting design improvements

  • Carefully observe and records physical aspects of the machine during testing.

  • Consider the purpose of the test to configure test stations to optimize data collection.

  • Proactively communicate key observations made during testing and offers suggestions for improvements.

  • Maintain and organize laboratory supplies, fixtures, tools, and equipment needed for testing.

  • Instrument appliances with sensors such as thermocouples, accelerometers, & load cells.

Qualifications required:

  • At least an Associate degree in a technical field or 5 years of product testing experience

  • At least 2 years of experience in a laboratory environment.

  • Knowledge of laboratory equipment, data acquisition, testing procedures, and data analysis methods

  • Knowledge of typical instruments of an electromechanical lab like voltmeter, oscilloscope, thermocouples, sensors

  • Familiar with data acquisition software (like LabVIEW/MATLAB) and programming techniques

This position is a full-time (fully on-site) position based at our Tech Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.
