The Lead Clinician is responsible for providing mental health assessments and counseling intervention services for youth in care, as well as continually monitoring and documenting clients' mental well-being and overall adjustment to the program. All duties will be performed based on education, training, and certified counseling experience within the social service field. The ideal candidate will have experience in working with youth in inpatient, residential, or detention facilities, or those with high-risk backgrounds. The Lead Clinician is subject to work extended hours, weekends, holidays, and be on-call.

This position requires relocation to any part of the United States, certain relocation expenses will be covered.

Roles & Responsibilities
    Assign client intakes upon arrival to the clinical team.
  • Provide oversight, supervision, and training to Clinicians to coordinate clinical services.
  • Monitor clinical documentation to ensure accurate and timely submission.
  • Conduct intake, admission, and diagnostic assessments with clients for treatment planning.
  • Facilitate the transfer and reunification process.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with community-based providers to meet the needs of the youth effectively.
  • Collaborate with treatment team members and clients to develop treatment plans.
  • Provide weekly one-to-one counseling and crisis intervention as needed.
  • Facilitate psycho-educational and therapeutic client groups.
  • Continually monitor the mental well-being of clients, provide consultation, and arrange for appropriate services as needed.
  • Must assist in the evacuation of youth as needed due to inclement weather conditions, natural disasters, or other unforeseen occurrences.
  • Work independently, react to change productively, and handle other essential tasks as assigned while exercising a high level of confidentiality.
Basic Qualifications
  • A combination of one of the following:
    • Master's degree in social work with 2 years post graduate direct service delivery experience
    • Master's degree or PhD in Psychology, Sociology, or relevant Behavioral Science with 2 years post graduate direct service delivery experience
    • Bachelor's degree in behavioral science with 5 years clinical employment experience in Behavioral Science
  • Must be licensed to provide Clinical services in the state where the care provider is located.
  • One year of supervisory experience.
  • Experience in working with youth in inpatient, residential, or detention facilities, or those with high-risk backgrounds.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of hire.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
  • Possess a valid Driver's License.
  • Possess a clear Tuberculosis test.
  • Ability to successfully clear a background check.
  • Ability to successfully clear a drug screening.
  • Provide immunization documentation for Tdap, Varicella, MMR, Hepatitis A and B, Varicella.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.
