Alternate Site Manager

About the Position

The Alternate Site Manager who shall have full authority to act for the Contractor/Company on all matters relating to Contract Performance in the absence of the Site Manager.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Provide supervision for the Contractor employees.
• Planning and managing the contract professionally.
• Coach and mentor Supervisors and Leads.
• Ensure that work is scheduled properly to obtain maximum use of resources.
• Effective supervision to prevent inefficient or wasteful methods in the performance of services ordered.
• Execute cost-saving factors and quality controls to ensure work is performed as scheduled and at a fair and reasonable cost.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Demonstrated knowledge of field operations, company specific policies and procedures, federal and contract regulations.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience using Microsoft products.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience utilizing operations support systems.
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills that result in clear, concise, and positive communications.
• Demonstrated strong organizational and planning skills.
• Demonstrated strong analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding and working knowledge of company policies and procedures.

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma required.
• At least 3 years of experience In Distribution Management or at least seven (7) years of management experience in distribution.
• 2 years of experience using automated warehouse management systems within the past 5 years.
• Must have experience working with DLA (Defense Logistics Agency)
