Position Summary
The UNC Department of Psychiatry is looking for a Registered Dietitian to serve as a Clinical Instructor in the UNC Center of Excellence for Eating Disorders (CEED). This 1.0 FTE role will be involved with primarily clinical activities and will work closely within a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide assessments and interventions to individuals with eating disorders. Primary responsibilities include completion of outpatient nutrition assessments, developing and implementing nutrition interventions and monitoring and evaluating patient progress. In addition, this individual will be involved in team meetings and conferences. Other clinical opportunities may include supervising clinical trainees. Research opportunities may include providing treatment as a clinical trial dietitian, contributing to research design, academic presentations, and publications. Additional opportunities may also include presenting in professional training seminars.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
A Master's Degree in a related field and Registered Dietitian (RD) credential are required. Applicants must be licensed in the state of North Carolina prior to start date.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Experience with the treatment of individuals with eating disorders is preferred.
