Overview

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a highly motivated, detailed-oriented individual that has strong Auto CADD skills applicable with private and municipal land development, road, and utility design. *This candidate will have the ability to sit out of any of the following offices in New Jersey: Holmdel, Mt. Laurel, Woodcliff Lake, Clinton, and Hamilton.


Responsibilities

  • Produce finished development plans, concepts and exhibits using AutoCAD Civil 3D per direction and supervision of Engineer and/or Project Manager.
  • To have the ability to follow hand-drafted and/or .PDF redlines and address all comments provided accordingly.
  • Set up and detail plans by analyzing sketches, notes and other input material to determine the best approach for the completion of drawings.
  • Attend project kick-off meetings; assist in the set up and drafting of project base maps by analyzing utility drawings and sketches, notes and other input material to determine the best approach for the completion of drawings.
  • Produce Civil 3D generated surfaces, profiles and section drawings per parameters and/or redline markups provided from Engineer and/or Project Manager.
  • Prepare earthwork models and "heat maps" for volume balancing and identifying areas of cut or fill.
  • Conform to CED AND industry standard CAD procedures for layering, etc., and standard drawing procedures for sheet layout.
  • Work with numerous project teams to help in project completion.
  • Coordinate details and dimensions between drawing sheets.
  • Prepare CAD files for authorized media release to external parties/agencies.
  • Prepare conceptual layout plans per client request and information.
  • Investigation of municipal ordinance regulations, as well as other state and local agency regulations, are required.
  • Prepare exhibits utilizing AutoCAD as well as image and data files from third-party, CED approved sites.
  • Address assignments of increased difficulty as proficiency is increased.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma/Equivalent; Associates Degree or a Certificate from a technical school, preferably in AutoCAD.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Demonstrate general computer skills, knowledge and acumen (i.e., Microsoft Office).
  • 3-5+ years of related experience.
  • Experience in site/civil, land development, and/or municipal engineering drafting preferred.
