Your Impact
The Senior Director of Pricing will steer Lowe's pricing strategies to ensure they remain competitive and resonate with the customer journey. In this capacity, the Senior Director will champion the development of strategies that prioritize base, clearance, and pro pricing all underpinned by data, technology, and keen market insights. They will oversee a dedicated team passionate about precision, ensuring that Lowe's product and service pricing remains impeccable. Integral to this role is a commitment to fostering robust collaboration within the Pricing & Analytics team, Merchandising, Operations, and Tech teams, ensuring cohesive alignment in pursuit of shared objectives. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of competitive pricing landscapes and a penchant for cross-departmental collaboration.

What you will do

  • Analyzes relevant consumer insights and competitive information on pricing initiatives in the industry to define a USHI pricing framework and guidelines for the organization to achieve value perception realization and drive customers' understanding of the Lowe's value strategy through pricing programs, such as markdowns, clearance, inventory productivity and Pro pricing.

  • Oversees the development of pricing strategies for new programs that are consistent with overall company goals and monitoring impacts to ensure impactful results to the business. Recommends strategies to the executive team for new or innovative pricing.

  • Will identify and utilize analytics, reporting optimization, and continuous improvement to identify valuable pricing strategies, specifically in regard to clearance

  • Strategic partner with Merchandising to advise on pricing strategy and levers in Pro Pricing to improve performance and promotional effectiveness including designing, testing and rolling out pricing initiatives

  • Works with Technology to identify solutions to efficiently execute and scale new pricing strategies

  • Develops/provides leadership oversight to Product Line Review (PLR) process as it pertains to insights and opportunities from an everyday and clearance pricing perspective; monitors and advises Pricing team and leadership based on status of pricing strategy implementation and management.

  • Ensure the successful execution of the pricing intelligence and initiatives strategy by creating the appropriate tools and methods to analyze and understand Lowe's competitive position and create pricing initiative strategies which align with the overall customer experience direction of the company

  • Guides and oversees the development of tools for delivering unique value offerings and pricing concepts that fit the customer experience strategy within the multi-channel environment, specifically focusing on the personalization of expectations across channels

  • Enhances customer value perceptions through the development and implementation of a life-cycle pricing model, as well as driving continued improvements in our value communication to our customers

  • Accountable for communication to and from relevant stakeholders regarding pricing initiatives, specifically as it relates to key deliverables and periodic status updates

  • Plans and monitors the lifecycle of all products from launch through clearance, ensuring the achievement of margins for each category and overall customer service and the adjustment of pricing plans based on the results, with attention to non-productive clearance inventory and an optimized everyday retail.

  • Continuous review of operational pricing support model to identify opportunities to improve speed to market, value creation and organizational alignment.

  • Creates an industry-leading team to drive the overall strategy for customer experience and develop the value strategy with specific tactical initiatives for designing new approaches and processes and realizing pricing plans through the organization

  • Creates a climate of engagement and productivity by empowering others and encouraging them to contribute ideas and make decisions; Enables and promotes an inclusive and diverse team and working environment

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or related field

  • 11-15 Years Experience in Price Management, Merchandising, Financial Planning and Analysis, Store Operations, or Logistics.

  • Experience as a Lead Merchant and/or Pricing Lead in an omni-channel retail environment.

  • 5-7 Years Leadership experience with director report responsibility and demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams, data elements, or financial metrics analysis

  • 3-5 Years Experience working closely with senior leadership
