What you will be doing

Under the direction of the Vice President of Commercial Enablement, the Senior Director of Commercial Enablement drives Commercial Enablement for assigned group of Business Units within US Pharma and Animal health and leads a team of Commercial Enablement Consultants, each responsible for managing a distinct Business Unit. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, driving performance, managing change, and contributing to enterprise-level initiatives.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead a team of Commercial Enablement Consultants, providing guidance, direction, and support to ensure their success.

  • Responsible for prioritization of key initiatives and ongoing alignment to BU and enterprise strategy.

  • Utilize data to measure the impact of commercial enablement initiatives, identify areas for improvement, and iterate on strategies to enhance outcomes.

  • Participate in the Commercial Enablement annual fiscal planning & budget process, responsible for team performance to budget.

  • Collaborate with marketing and meetings management teams to strategize and execute Sales Meetings that align with business objectives and deliver impactful content.

  • Supervise & direct the compilation and execution of Quarterly Review & Engagement sessions for the respective stakeholder groups, ensuring insightful analysis and actionable insights.

  • Champion the integration of performance consulting principles into the team's initiatives, ensuring continuous improvement in business outcomes.

  • Align business objectives across departments in the development of effective sales tools and resources; oversee the operationalization of segment sales strategy through leadership consultation and alignment.

  • Broad stakeholder & functional alignment to understand key sales drivers, provide counsel on enablement tactics, analyze the marketplace and formulate segment sales execution strategies.

  • Manage segment Sales Advisory Board; solicit feedback and work with the SAB to implement solutions on behalf of the sales team.

  • Act as segment sales subject matter expert as it relates to interacting with other departments, including Marketing and Communications; ensure sales knowledge is embedded and leveraged to key audiences.

  • Build & maintain key functional partnerships & relationshipsto foster enterprise-mindedness and consistent & coordinated commercial pull-through.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to drive and contribute to enterprise-level initiatives, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals.

  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations that contribute to the overall success of the organization.

  • Develop talent through experiential learning and meaningful experiences for team members.

  • Establish clear performance expectations, objectives, and development plans for team members.

  • In partnership with Change Management COE, develop and implement change management strategies to drive the adoption of new processes, technologies, and initiatives across the Business Units.

  • Collaborate with leadership to communicate change effectively and mitigate potential challenges.

  • Build & maintain key functional partnerships & relationshipsto foster enterprise-mindedness and consistent & coordinated commercial pull-through.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to drive and contribute to enterprise-level initiatives, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals.

What your background should look like

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Management, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.

- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in sales, commercial enablement, sales operations, or related roles within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.

- Proven experience in leading and managing high-performing teams, with a strong focus on mentoring and talent development.

- Exceptional project management skills with a track record of successfully navigating complexity, planning, and executing highly visible projects and initiatives.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to drive data-driven decision-making.

- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

- Demonstrated expertise in content management systems and tools (e.g., Highspot) is a plus.

- Change management certification (e.g., Prosci) is a plus.
