Sr Medical Services Operations Manager

Oversee medical operations and contract execution, develop & manage processes from end-to-end for assigned location. Responsibility includes implementation, delivery and sustainment of turn-key medical care for unaccompanied migrant children. This position involves strategic planning, coordination, and management of various operational aspects, including staffing, facility management, budgeting, and process improvement. The senior manager collaborates with medical professionals, administrative staff, and other stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality healthcare services.

Sr Medical Services Operations Manager Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for managing the direction, planning, execution, conduct, and summarization of assigned clinical operations while ensuring compliance with FDA regulations, GCP, ICH, regional/global regulations and Company SOPs for assigned clinical operations activities.
  • Works to improve efficiency and quality in delivering healthcare services.
  • Provides guidance and training for the Clinical Operations team, which may include physicians, registered nurses, mid-level medical providers, licensed clinical social workers, marital and family therapists, and adjunct mental health staff.
  • Contributes to development and implementation of clinical operations, protocols, and final reports. Ensures documentation is updated as processes evolve.
  • Leads the development of and maintenance of project specific risk mitigation plans, including communication with senior management when necessary.
  • Establishes, tracks and reports appropriate performance metrics. Utilizes metrics to manage continual improvement of the project.
  • Assists in departmental infrastructure improvements/development efforts (e.g., SOP development and revisions).
  • Identifies program/resource gaps and proposes solutions. Mentors and develops junior clinical operations staff.
  • Anticipates problems; sees how a problem and its solution will affect other units; gathers information before making decisions; weighs alternatives against objectives and arrives at reasonable decisions; adapts well to changing priorities, deadlines and directions; works to eliminate all processes which do not add value; is willing to take action, even under pressure, criticism or tight deadlines; takes informed risks; recognizes and accurately evaluates the signs of a problem; analyzes current procedures for possible improvements; notifies supervisor of problems in a timely manner.

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Sr Medical Services Operations Manager Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a related discipline with 10-15+ years of increasing responsibility and relevant experience, preferably in a related field or 24/7 full medical operation.
  • Experience collaborating and directing a distributed team and managing multiple customers, programs, and projects.
  • Strong understanding of operations in a multi-functional organization that may include public works, food service, recreation, education, housing, logistics, childcare and social service functions.
  • Ability to inspire the team and customers and exhibit commitment to inclusion and diversity.
  • Ability to exhibit drive, industriousness, discipline, and dedication;
  • Excellent oral, visual, and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding presentation skills; delivery to both internal and external customers.
  • Excellent time management skills and detail oriented.
  • Strong analytic and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals in a diverse community.
  • Proficient computer skills working with Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple work sites and teams.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Ability to comfortably interact with senior level personnel.
  • Outstanding interaction skills, tact, and team building skills.
  • Ability to use logic to analyze or identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts. associated with information or data to draw conclusions and make time sensitive decisions affecting resources and children in our care.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate and work with supporting functions, peer Directors and other delivery organizations.
  • Ability to provide proof of US Citizenship.
