Overview

The Local Admissions Marketing Manager (LAMM) drives local marketing and admissions activity in their perspective market by coordinating the representation of UTI/MMI at High schools, industry related on-campus and community events such as car shows, festivals, dealership receptions, and campus open houses. The LAMM will be the main contact and emcee for these events and must enjoy making connections with people while motivating and inspiring them to follow their dreams. Therefore, a self-confident, extroverted style that can enliven, engage and positively impact individuals and groups is essential. Particular emphasis will be placed on building relationships with industry contacts, High school and community leaders in order to increase visibility for the campus in that local market. The job environment is fast-paced, results oriented and requires strong initiative and self-direction; as well as frequent travel, working weekends and evenings are necessary in order to achieve success.

Responsibilities
    Identifies prospective students who appear to have the skills, interest, motivation and other qualities that indicate UTI could be a good fit for them, and seeks to help them enroll if they want to enroll.
  • Develops local community partnerships/relationships that build awareness of and drives traffic to UTI campus
  • Supports the High School market with STEM demonstrations, Career Fair coverage and campus events.
  • Builds strong relationships with both campus and field admissions teams while developing important community relationships (dealers, High Schools, aftermarket retailers etc.), developing and nurturing local leads, writing contracts, enroll-to-show activities and ensuring start goals are met
  • Builds relationships with local industry partners by promoting UTI's graduate employment.
  • Works closely with Regional Admissions Director and event Director to ensure execution of metric tracking, data entry and reporting of results after all events and promotions are completed
  • Coordinates Future Tech events and Industry days, oversees/supports in running "world class" events, managing the registration process, lead generation, tours, tracking and measurement of event day activities
  • Seeks out and develops innovative promotions and events that are additive to our existing programs.
  • Technical skills necessary to learn and deliver a remote STEM presentation using a car and/or motorcycle while showing a "live" demonstration.
  • Ability to deliver HS presentation, communication strategy and In-Home Interview if asked to fill in for Field Representative on leave or during vacancy.
  • Coordinates experiential events and competitions like Pit Crew Challenge, Fall Tour and/or Top Tech
  • Completes bi-weekly accountability documents outlining activities and accomplishments
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Education / Experience

  • College degree preferred or commensurate experience (3 yrs.) in Marketing or Admissions with particular experience in onsite and offsite events
  • Experience working in a multiple unit organization environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with developing and negotiating sponsorship agreements a plus
  • Strong event planning and execution background including lead generation
  • Background in sales or experience working closely with a sales team
  • Knowledge of basic marketing & advertising disciplines
  • Must meet all DOT requirements.

  • Strong attention to detail and necessary focus on execution, follow up and measurement
  • Demonstrated ability to manage sideways within a large and diverse organization
  • General technology as it relates to office administration
  • Action oriented self-starter with practical to drive results
  • Knowledge of local community
  • Bi-lingual English and Spanish preferred

Abilities

  • Must be able to lift and maneuver 50-75 pounds
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time during events
  • Normal physical activity including movement, hearing, seeing and communication
  • Flexibility to travel on a regular basis (50-100% of time)

Work Environment

  • Fast paced with frequent change
  • Weekend work will be required
  • Some work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment. Some work will be outside, which may include hot and cold weather conditions.

Pay and Benefits

  • Salary range $80,000/yr - $90,000/yr depending on experience
