Position Summary | The primary location of this position is the main Cullowhee, NC campus. This is a 34 hours per week 12-month position within Counseling & Psychological Services. The primary role of the Counselor is to provide direct clinical services to students. These services include individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, clinical consultations, and outreach programming. Additionally, the counselor will provide supervision of doctoral interns and of master's level practicum students. |
Minimum Qualifications | Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship. Required masters degree in counseling or social work or doctoral degree in counseling or clinical psychology. Must be licensed in North Carolina as a LPC or LCSW or be license eligible in North Carolina with doctoral degree in psychology. Must have experience working in university counseling center or with college-aged population in outpatient setting. |
Preferred Qualifications | At least two years of experience providing clinical services in a university counseling center. Additional expertise in at least one other area including, but not limited to, multicultural counseling, DBT, crisis management, or substance use. We seek candidates that can demonstrate their experiences in working with diverse students, faculty and staff and in providing culturally sensitive training to master's and doctoral level trainees. |
