Responsibilities:

  • Understand business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals:
  • Under general direction of Business Analyst Lead or other stakeholder to lead and direct analysis activities for high-priority pro jects requiring high degrees of functional integration
  • The role includes supporting the product, processes, and users.
  • Work with business leaders, system users, and IT to improve the use of technologies as a business enabler by defining detailed requirements for enhancements to the system, business process improvements, delivery of insights, and opportunities for improved operation

Strategic Business Analysis Planning & Execution

  • Lead the team through analysis of PSA requirements creating finite written details of business requirements and design to the point the development lead indicates the story is ready for development to begin
  • Participate in product road mapping
  • Understand the overall finance/accounting setup of Workday, including overall functional usage of Workday
  • Provide strategic recommendations for current and upcoming product work
  • Assist product owners and managers with backlog management
  • Influence the prioritization of the product backlog according to business value

Agile Business Analysis Planning & Execution

  • Lead requirements elicitation sessions
  • Document user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Develop supporting documentation when applicable including state flow diagrams, datamapping, etc.
  • Work independently and with Product Designers to develop user interface design
  • Participate in sprint planning processes and execute on the sprint plan presented by the development team
  • Accepts/rejects (sign-off) on the software sprint reviews
  • Plan, document, and execute user acceptance testing (UAT) scenarios against the system, functionality, and processes during product releases and patches
  • Participate in go/no-go of the release plan
  • Represent the voice of the customer, providing input on product recommendations on behalf of the business
  • Work with technical and QA teams to size and validate user stories

Center of Excellence Support & Process Improvement

  • Ensure BA Center of Excellence Standards are being followed
  • Promote agile adoption and understanding
  • Offer team insights and process improvement ideas to center of excellence leaders
  • Other Duties as Assigned

Product Support

  • Manage Workday PSA system and operations issues, system troubleshooting, manage severity assignments and set priorities for resolution
  • Perform Workday administrative functions including business process and tenant configuration, including, postproduction support, managing operational issues with PSA in billing or revenue
  • Experience configuring all aspects of Workday Financials and the related Projects, and Customer Accounts functionality
  • Provide quality assurance backup support
  • Facilitate, develop, schedule, and assist with meetings, presentations, and other communications specific to the deliverable and audience
  • Support issue resolution by evaluating impacts of defects on the business, working with IT to develop plans for resolution
  • Provide process and product support individually and through collaboration with business and IT resources
  • Suggest ways to track product use and impact on end users
  • Contribute to the build and delivery of quality and efficiencies into processes and project deliverables
  • Manages small projects or assigned project work streams in larger projects
  • Support the development of training and process materials
  • Collaborate with project team members to solve implementation issues and business problems
  • Contribute to the build and delivery of change management plans

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • 2-4 years experience within Workday PSA
  • Proficient in MS Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
  • Ability to analyze and document backend system information such as data mapping andmicroservice components
  • Knowledge of defect tracking processes and tools
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and consult effectively withemployees at all levels
  • Strong knowledge of basic and advanced business analysis techniques and strategies
  • Strong knowledge of product design and user experience design concepts
  • Strong knowledge of the Agile Framework with a focus in Scrum, Scaled Agile, andKanban methodologies
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking ability
  • Good communication skills both written and spoken
  • Ability to prioritize across many projects and deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail, motivation, and initiative
  • Minimum of 5 years of business analysis experience working in a development environment
  • Knowledge of product management concepts and how enterprise software products arepositioned and developed
  • Experience working with 3rd party and vendor relationships
  • Experience with both structured and object-oriented analysis techniques
  • Proven experience in operational business process improvement
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies and other tools supporting fact-based decisions
  • Experience leading a team of resources for the coordinated delivery of large or complexprojects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Workday PSA Certified - Financials, Projects, Projects Billing, Contracts to Cash
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
  • Financial services or accounting industry experience.
