Job Description

The position is based in North America. The successful candidate will be responsible for the regulatory compliance of Solenis products marketed in North America and will be coordinating activities of the product registration staff supporting the region. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring appropriate level of support is provided for the company's operations, representing regional and cross-regional product registration issues to the commercial leadership team. The position is responsible for providing internal and external customer product regulatory support, including matters dealing with regulatory agencies in North America such as the FDA, EPA, COFEPRIS, Health Canada and Environment Canada. The person will be part of a global world-class Product Regulatory team contributing to the success not only in North America, but across all regions.

Your general activities will be:

1.Governance/Compliance Initiatives

  • Manage direct reports and consultants
  • Manage product registration and regulatory clearances as needed
  • Monitor regulatory activity and identify non-compliance issues or risks
  • Assess business impact to new product launches related to product regulatory approvals
  • Recommend programs and procedures to support compliance/risk issues/programs
  • Implement programs and plans and coordinate with other trans-regional personnel necessary for compliance and commercial success.

2. Represent North America Product Regulatory Department

  • Represent North America Product Regulatory Department within the company (new requirements/initiatives, metrics, organizational issues, project status, etc.) for all business units of the region for product registration
  • Ensure that North America commercial units and related operations get appropriate level of Product Regulatory support

3. Alignment

  • Represent the North America region with regard to development of Global Product Registration strategy, policies, procedures/processes, training and use of shared systems
  • Enable implementation of Global Product Registration policies and programs in North America
  • Initiate and lead North America Product Registration projects for Solenis

4. External Representation

  • Represent Solenis at and participate in selected industry, government, and/or technical associations and consortia

Experience/education:

  • Thorough knowledge of product registration regulations, enforcement and industry practice relevant to the chemical industry.
  • Minimum Master Degree preferred; training in biology, chemistry or toxicology science discipline, 5-10 years of Product Registration and relevant experience within the chemical or related industry.
  • People management experience is a plus
  • Experience in chemical control notifications and Biocide registrations in the US and Canada is a must.
