The School of Art is part of the College of Visual & Performing Arts, a community of artists with over 1,500 undergraduate and graduate students. The University of North Carolina at Greensboro School of Art seeks to fill a Visiting Assistant Professor position in 3D Foundations. The School of Art's curriculum introduces students to a variety of conceptual and material approaches. A candidate would contribute to undergraduate and graduate education, professional creative activity, and service to the academic community. Candidates will be expected to articulate their understanding of how systems of inequity shape disciplinary knowledge, typical practices in their field and university environments, and how those understandings inform their pedagogy. Candidates will have strengths in traditional 3D practices including basic fabrication in wood and metal, clay, mold-making, assemblage, and installation.
