Trusted Medical, PLLC is the clinical care delivery affiliate of Edera (www.edera.com). We specialize in serving Veterans by reducing wait times for them to gain access to disability screens and separation health assessments required by the Veteran Affairs (VA) to receive benefits. We work to match each Veteran with a clinician based on their skills and the type of exam administered, so they can provide the most individualized experience possible. For our Veterans, we offer the convenience of having disability benefits assessments evaluations in addition to primary care (Community Care Network -CCN) in one accessible location. This allows for expanded access to care for Veterans within their communities. We conduct these required assessments promptly to expedite compensation and pension exams and benefits through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

About this Role

The General Medicine Physician (M.D./D.O) will perform in-person Primary Care/CCN visits in our new practice and state-of-the-art facility. Additionally, this position involves collaborative oversight of 3 Advanced Care Providers providing the same Veteran care.

Primary Care/CCN: This role supports the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs in providing Veterans' primary care services in the community. Duties include assessing, diagnosing, and treating acute and chronic condition within the scope of primary care setting. Ancillary services include, but are not limited to, phlebotomy, CLIA- waived test, EKG, PFT, ABI, imaging - with final overread by radiologist.

Collaborative Physician: Oversight of three Advanced Practice Providers (NP/PA). Responsible for establishing and maintaining collaborative agreements and all associated oversight as mandated by state regulations. Overread of all EKGs conducted by APPs. Review of other APP ancillary testing as needed.

This role requires excellent and expeditious assessment skills. Ideal candidates should have a proven track record of high reliability when working in an independent atmosphere with little oversight.

Responsibilities:

  1. 40-hour work week - (5-8's or 4-10's)

  1. APPs will take call however MD/DO should be available if needed for consultative services

  1. Overread of APPs' EKGs; other ancillary testing, as needed

  1. Perform services in line with standard, accepted practice in primary care

  1. Prepare for and deliver exceptional patient handling and care during all interactions

  1. Complete and submit all required documentation promptly and completely- VA requirement of 30 days

  1. Provide delivery and operational excellence by delivering exceptional service, working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, embracing change with agility and adaptability, and maintaining accountabilities for all assigned commitments

  1. Demonstrate leadership qualities by developing and pursuing ongoing career development goals, and provide knowledge transfer of applicable learning to organization team members

  1. Application of clinical skills to include data gathering and analysis, communications with an emphasis on relationship development and growth, demonstration and implementation of knowledge and expertise in specialized areas

Strong ethics and sound judgment

Education:

  • Board- Certified FP/IM; US- accredited medical school

  • Current and uninterrupted licensure: MD-DO

  • Active DEA license

Experience:

  • 5 + years of relevant experience as a MD-DO

  • Experience with providing care for the Veteran population is preferred

  • Experience working with or for VA or supporting federal healthcare clients/organizations is preferred

Technical Skills:

  • Strong proficiency with MS Office 365 skills to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint

  • Experienced in one or more major Electronic Health Records

  • Experience with electronic healthcare records design and use of patient experience solutions

Additional Requirements:

Current BLS Certification required

Immunizations Required:

  • TB Screening (less than one year old)

  • Hep B Titers (less than 1 year old) with active immunity, otherwise will need to start Hep B series

Immunizations Strongly Recommended:

  • COVID vaccination and boosters

  • MMR Titers (less than 1 year old)

  • Varicella Titers (less than 1 year old)

  • TDAP Immunization (less than 10 years old)

  • Flu Immunization (within current season)
