Position Summary

The Facilities Engineering Department is responsible for all aspects of maintaining the site infrastructure in an active reliable state to support cGMP operations. Facilities Engineering oversees the architectural features of the buildings, Structural/Civil, Biotech process and laboratory equipment and systems, HVAC, Plant and Clean Utility Systems, Electrical Power and Lighting, and Automation for the cGMP facility.

As an essential employee, the facilities associate-I is responsible for general upkeeping of the buildings and surroundings. Support day-to-day function of facilities such as wall and door repair and paint, replacement of light bulbs, ceiling, and floor tiles replacement. Escort to vendors/contractors in GMP area for maintenance and perform soft facilities services.

The associate must be able to work both independently and as a team member. Independent judgment and initiative are required to solve challenges or issues as well as the ability to seek out assistance when necessary. This individual must be able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.

Position Responsibilities

  • Perform repair and maintenance activities for facilities/buildings such as wall and door repair and paint, door adjustments, small-scale plumbing work, power washing of surroundings, light bulbs replacement, floor tile and ceiling time replacements, carpet tiles replacement, assemble/disassemble office furniture, etc.
  • Escort outside vendors/contractors such as Pest control, Water treatments, HVAC services, Electricians, Elevator services, Roofers, Document shredding, Recycling services, Custodial services and maintenance services in GMP area, etc.
  • Perform and coordinate soft facilities services for corporate gathering events, conferences, training, meetings, and audits etc.
  • Use a computerized system such as BMRAM to document assigned maintenance activities and other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent, including some hands-on or vocational school training, 0-2 years' experience as a general facilities maintenance field in a large organization environment is a plus.

Prior experience with maintenance in a cGMP pharmaceutical manufacturing environment is plus.

Salary: $16.27-$24.40/hour

Salary range provided per current averages and expectations. The salary and job title for this opening will be based on the selected candidate's qualifications and experience and may be outside this range.
