MARKETING STRATEGIST

Job Description

The Marketing Strategist reports to the Business Development team with some direction provided by company executives with business development responsibilities. This position is a non-exempt position.

Expectations:

The Marketing Strategist is expected to work closely with Management to understand the company's marketing needs in order to ensure PCI is marketing in the most effective manner. The Marketing Strategist is also expected to ensure accuracy and timeliness with all internal and external company communications. The Marketing Strategist will work closely with Management to ensure the proper company image is portrayed, and that the company's information is distributed in a professional, timely and cost-effective manner.

Responsibilities/ Assignments include but are not limited to:

  • Create marketing materials (e-blasts, flyers, etc.) with industry applicable hooks specific to targeted audiences
  • Develop and deploy bi-monthly newsletter
  • Create and submit company award nominations and other public relations related material
  • Maintain an up-to-date company website
  • Research and target effective industry events to promote company services; review publications and other media for new developments in the industry
  • Drive the selection, coordination and execution of all special event activities
  • Based upon special events, ensure all leads are given to appropriate managers and followed through on
  • Track success metrics from marketing activitiesand generate regular reports with recommendations for improvement
  • Maintain internal CRM database of customer contacts and update as needed
  • Develop and maintain close partnerships with functional groups across Life Science Industry such as PDA, ISPE, various related LinkedIn groups, etc.
  • Develop, update, and oversee all printed internal and external material (PCI brochures, folder layouts, pamphlets, booklets, brochures, mailings, recruiting packets, postings, etc).

Special Skills Required:

  • Technical understanding of services to focus marketing on target audience
  • Detail-oriented with proven ability to work independently, multi-task and complete activities to meet committed deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to remain up-to-date with current marketing trends
  • Interpersonal skills to work effectively across all teams

Experience & Education Required:

A four-year degree in Communications, Marketing, or Business and four years of business experience or the equivalent combination of the two. Pharmaceutical or healthcare industry experience a plus. Relational database experience required.
