Job Description

As the Service Provisioning Specialist III, you will be working in a fast-paced environment handling calls and chats primarily from internal customers and technicians. In this exciting role you will be responsible for provisioning and assigning high-speed internet and digital switch services. In addition, you will be providing accurate facility information, completing service orders, and troubleshooting with technicians by accessing various support systems and devices.

As Service Provisioning Specialist III, your duties will include:

  • Assigning and changing outside plant and central office facilities for residential and small business consumers, single and multiline, MDU, CLEC, DATA, POTS, and VoIP products
  • Processing service orders utilizing and maintaining assignment and record keeping systems within Brightspeed
  • Utilizing technical systems including but not limited to: MARTENS, Ensemble, eShop, MEAT, Salesforce, OMNIchat, NOCVue, Omnivue, Optius and Odin, AutoMate, Activate, and various Digital Switches (DSM10/100, GTD5, Alcatel 5ESS, etc.) as well as several types of internet devices such as Calix, Adtran, Alcatel, Entriview, Panorama, and several Tellabs devices
Qualifications

WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:

  • Experience working in a technical call center or customer contact environment
  • Comprehensive understanding of high-speed data products including fiber and VoIP
  • Strong computer system knowledge including familiarity with multi-screen applications using web-based programs
  • High-speed data troubleshooting experience
  • Outside and Inside Plant knowledge and assignment experience
  • Teamwork skills, both within work group and other departments
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that will include evening, weekends, and holiday hours
  • Ability to multi-task and work in an ever-changing and fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to work overtime when needed

BONUS POINTS FOR:

  • Previous working experience in telecommunications
  • Working knowledge of existing Brightspeed support systems
  • Working knowledge of digital provisioning and facility assignment

This position is part of a bargaining unit and represented by a union. Depending upon the applicable collective bargaining agreement under which you may be hired, you may be: (a)requiredto join the union and pay union dues as a condition of employment; or, (b) required to pay union dues, but not join the union as a condition of employment; or (c) free tochoosewhetherto join the union, but if you do join the union you would beobligatedto pay union dues.
