Salary Range: $85,000 to $105,000

Position: Superintendent
Summary:

The Superintendent is responsible for overseeing construction and maintenance tasks from start to finish, ensuring efficient project execution, adherence to safety protocols, and high-quality workmanship. The Superintendent manages on-site activities, coordinates on-site team work schedule, and maintains effective communication with project manager. The Superintendent reports to the Project Manager and works closely with the PM to achieve project goals within budget, on schedule, and in accordance with specifications and regulations within the Contract.

Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning and Coordination:
* Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets.
* Review project specifications, drawings, and contracts to understand project requirements.
* Coordinate with in field team and perform work in the field to complete all contractual required tasks.
* Ensure timely availability of labor, materials, and equipment.

2. Site Management:
* Supervise and manage on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
* Mange and perform tasks in the field as needed, must be proficient in a range of multiple disciplines in construction (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, welding, solar/PV, etc.).
* Conduct inspections to verify work quality, adherence to specifications, and compliance with the contract.
* Manage construction site logistics, including layout, temporary facilities, and material deliveries.

3. Team Leadership and Collaboration:
* Provide leadership to the field team, including subcontractors and site staff.
* Coordinate and communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including the Project Manager.
* Foster a collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development.
* Resolve conflicts or issues during field work, maintaining a productive atmosphere.
* Perform duties of the Project Manager in their absence.
* Coordinate and manage field teams and volunteers, ensuring adherence to project safety and quality standards.
* Conduct regular team meetings to communicate objectives, expectations, and updates.
* Evaluate field team's performance, provide feedback, and address any issues and or conduct site training.

4. Safety and Quality Assurance:
* Promote a culture of safety on the construction site, adhering to safety regulations.
* Conduct regular safety inspections and implement appropriate measures.
* Ensure work is performed according to specifications and quality standards.
* Implement quality control measures and address non-conformances promptly.

5. Documentation and Reporting:
* Maintain accurate documentation, including logs, reports, and change orders.
* Generate regular project status reports, including progress, challenges, and milestones.
* Collaborate with the Project Manager and stakeholders to address issues and provide updates.
* Ensure proper documentation of permits, licenses, and inspections.

The Superintendent's role in sub-contractor selection, pricing proposal evaluation, and scope of work writing is crucial for the successful execution of projects. By reporting to the Project Manager and working closely with them, the Superintendent contributes to the overall success of the project.
