We have an opportunity for an Industrial Engineer to join our Sanford, NC team. You will improve material flow, inventory turns, and develop a Plan for Every Part Database. You will play a large part in improving Pentair's ability to service customers and reach company goals of 98% on time deliver while eliminating waste inside the facility.

You will:

  • Develop and maintain a Plan for Every Part (PFEP) database.
  • Develop a process to link Master Scheduling/Production TAKT to raw material.
  • Work with purchasing and logistics on optimizing supplier delivery routes and time.
  • Coordinate with market team leaders and develop a weekly audit plan to sustain PFEP data accuracy.
  • Optimizes material flow and storage of offsite warehouse, trailers, and production spaces.
  • Execute market layouts and physically move material into locations determined by the PFEP.
  • Develops process flow charts, work instructions and procedures; and assists with staff training.

Key Qualifications:

  • BS degree Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Internship or working experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on material flow.
  • 2D Modeling Software Experience.
  • Experience with Lean material flow concepts like pull systems and Kanbans.
  • Have or be willing to obtain a "sit-down" and "stand-up" forklift licenses.
  • Must be willing to operate a wave and scissor lift.
