The Biology Laboratory Technician Fellow will support three lab managers in the Biology Department. Lab managers and the fellow will work collaboratively to support and prepare teaching laboratories for lab courses.
Among other tasks, the Biology Laboratory Technician Fellow will:
Applicants should have a bachelor's degree in biology or environmental studies (natural science focus), the ability to talk and stand for long periods, and the ability to lift 50 pounds.
Ideally, the successful candidate will have above average interest and competence in biology field and laboratory techniques; strong communication and organization skills and attention to detail; ability to work well with multiple supervisors (lab managers, faculty) and peers; and the ability to take initiative in finding ways to be helpful and increase efficiency.
To qualify for the fellows program, you must be a current Davidson senior who will graduate in the spring or a recent college graduate who has been out of school for no more than two years.
