Primary Purpose of Organization Unit | The SON is well known in the community and surrounding areas as a trusted partner and program. We utilize several clinical sites to provide outreach services and expose students to various levels of need. In 2021, the SON added two mobile units to aid in these areas. The SON prides itself on quality student experiences that meet the needs of learners at all levels. We grow our own faculty with many starting at the MSN level and completing terminal degrees while working full time. We are committed to moving at the speed of trust! |
Primary Purpose of Position | Serve as faculty member in the McKenzie-Elliott School of Nursing. Workload may include leading undergraduate or graduate courses as qualifications allow and need arises. Teaching may be face-to-face or online in didactic or clinical instruction. |
Job Description | Areas of potential undergraduate teaching include adult health nursing I/II, family nursing I/II, community nursing, health assessment, foundations of nursing. Qualifications and need will impact graduate level courses. Other assignments as determined by Chair, McKenzie-Elliott School of Nursing. Nursing courses offered in the summer may offer additional employment opportunities. Responsibilities include assisting the nursing faculty team in curriculum design, providing classroom and clinical instruction of students, advising of undergraduate students, and participating in McKenzie-Elliott School of Nursing governance activities. Salary and rank are competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. Candidates should have academic experience appropriate for rank and minimum of two years clinical experience. |
