We have an opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Sanford, NC team. You will support the Pentair Pool Pumps manufacturing cell through design of jigs and fixtures, support production and engineer during new product and process development and implement lean manufacturing techniques.

You will:

  • Support operators of Pentair Pool value stream through developing and designing in SolidWorks and AutoCAD
  • Program robots, using software or interactive programming techniques, to perform simple or complex tasks (Fanuc, Wittman, etc.)
  • Utilize project management best practices to drive projects to completion within schedule and budget.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and plumbing equipment.
  • Identify root causes and drive projects for improved operations.
  • Communicate between shifts and teams by following documentation procedures and standards.

Key Qualifications:

  • Have 2+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing, supporting both production processes and procedures.
  • Have earned a bachelor's degree B.S. in Engineering
  • SolidWorks and AutoCAD experience, or similar software required.
  • Basic understanding of basic LEAN principles such as 5s, pull systems, kanban's, etc.
  • Understanding of general engineering processes such as FAT, IQOQ, APQP, FMEA, T- Map, P-Map, Gauge R&R, PPAP, etc.
