Responsibilities

The Instructor - Technical 3 position will establish, direct, plan, develop, and implement technical product training programs for customers, employees, and/or field support personnel.

Duties will include:

  • Utilize current curriculum / instructor guides to confidently present technical training which may include standard, repeatable modules, as well as customized and new product modules.
  • Obtain information (engineering, software, and product requirements) from customer and technical organizations to prepare training programs.
  • Provide assistance and support to all divisions in helping them determine their training needs and develop and conduct their training programs.
  • Conduct certification training sessions, product demonstrations, and develop criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities.
  • Utilizes trainers with technical expertise.
  • Administers tests.
  • Develop lesson plans and training materials, designs product demonstrations, develops course content, determines methodology, and coordinates the development of training aids.
  • Continuously revise lesson plans to ensure course material reflect product features, meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date.
  • Coordinates all required technical training and outside contract sales technical training programs.
  • Personnel matters: Is or becomes familiar with policies and procedures, surveys and market data, employee data, laws and regulations, labor agreements, business plans, labor forecasts, recruiting data, and business principles, as they relate to personnel matters.
  • Collaborates with other employees of the human resources organization to analyze and design processes and systems to effectively attract, reward, and motivate Spirit's workforce.
  • Experience in Drilling Theory, testing and evaluation

Qualifications

Required:

  • 3-4+ years' experience with sheet metal and/or composites
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (or equivalent), specifically Power Point, Excel, and Word

Preferred:

  • Strong organizational skills and managing projects
  • Ability to work/communicate with all levels of employee and management
  • Ability to handle a variety of responsibilities with little to no supervision
  • Desire to inspire, relate, motivate, and encourage learners
  • Ability to set goals/expectations and provide feedback
  • Instructional design experience with authoring tool (Captivate, Articulate, etc.)
  • Experience with video recording software (Adobe Premiere, Camtasia, etc.).
  • Experience with audio recording software (Audition, Pro Tools, etc).
