BUSINESS ANALYST LEAD

The BA Lead collaborates with their platform leader and technical leads to drive successful road mapping, planning and delivery of solution development for their assigned platforms. This role typically receives the most challenging work assignments and provides business analysis leadership on programs and large projects. Also responsible for managing relationships with key areas of the business and cross-functional IT groups and leverages those relationships to move program initiatives forward.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Strategic Business Analysis Planning & Execution

  • Lead enterprise analysis activities.
  • Participate in product road mapping.
  • Provide strategic recommendations for current and upcoming product work.
  • Assist product owners and managers with backlog management.

Agile Business Analysis Planning & Execution

  • Lead requirements elicitation sessions.
  • Document user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Develop supporting documentation when applicable including state flow diagrams, data mapping, etc.
  • Work independently and with Product Designers to develop user interface design.
  • Work with technical and QA teams to size and validate user stories.

People Management

  • Work Management of 2-4 BAs
  • Allocation and assignments to product work.
  • Validate quality of BA deliverables.
  • Career Advisor
  • Meet regularly with direct reports to review status and goals.
  • Participate in centralized hiring process for open BA positions.

Center of Excellence Support & Process Improvement

  • Ensure BA Center of Excellence Standards are being followed.
  • Promote agile adoption and understanding.
  • Offer team insights and process improvement ideas to center of excellence leaders.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • or equivalent experience.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Proficient in MS Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Ability to analyze and document backend system information such as data mapping and microservice components.
  • Knowledge of defect tracking processes and tools

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS SPECIFIC TO JOB

  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and consult effectively with employees at all levels
  • Strong knowledge of basic and advanced business analysis techniques and strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of product design and user experience design concepts.
  • Strong knowledge of the Agile Framework with a focus in Scrum,
  • Scaled Agile, and Kanban methodologies.
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking ability.
  • Good communication skills both written and spoken.
  • Ability to prioritize across many projects and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail, motivation, and initiative.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 10 years of business analysis experience working in a

development environment

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a lead role managing multiple BAs.
  • Knowledge of product management concepts and how enterprise software products are positioned and developed.
  • Experience working with 3rd party and vendor relationships.
  • Experience with both structured and object-oriented analysis techniques.
  • Proven experience in operational business process improvement.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies and other tools supporting fact based decisions.

MANAGEMENT

  • Experience leading a team of resources for the coordinated delivery of large or complex projects.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP).
  • Financial services or accounting industry experience

Compensation Range: $102,200 - $189,200 |
