Overview

Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies U.S.A., Inc. is offering summer internships for college students majoring in Life Sciences or Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial Engineering/Business Administration disciplines. The Upstream Process Development intern will execute small scale models to generate material to perform several innovation studies. These studies will be in partnership with several 3rd party vendors to evaluate new centrifugation and depth filtration technologies. Additionally, this work will partner with other 3rd party vendors to evaluate new technologies on cell banking. Job activities include cell propagation, set-up and execution of single use bioreactors, and material harvest using Good Lab Practices (GLP). Data entry and analysis opportunities as well as presenting on lab efforts are included with this project.This will be a full-time position during Summer 2024.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have completed freshman year of college.
  • Must be majoring in biological life science or chemical engineering major preferred
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Applications: Excel, Word and Powerpoint

Physical Demands:

  • May have to type, stand or walk for long periods of time
  • Physical effort/lifting up to 20 pounds
  • Will have to work weekends per process needs
