Position Summary (Purpose of job):

We are looking for a leader to join the Employee Care Corrective Actions & Performance Solutions (CAPS) team who is customer service oriented and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, solving problems, and improving the employee experience.

When employees at McKesson need HR assistance, they often turn to the McKesson Employee Care team. The goal of the Employee Care team is to provide a delightful employee experience as employees seek assistance on HR matters. People Leaders reach out to Employee Care requesting guidance in key areas of leadership including performance management coaching, learning and development coaching, Employee Opinion Survey and Manager Quality Survey action planning, and more.

Reporting to Sr. Manager, Corrective Actions & Performance Solutions (CAPS) must:

  • Be knowledgeable of policies and programs across the enterprise with the ability to coach people leaders consistently and effectively in the management of these policies and programs.

  • Ability to assess situations and make sound judgments with the intent to gain cooperation, acceptance, and agreement on employee matters for people leaders

  • Have strong communication skills and presence to establish the credibility of Employee Care, drive collaboration and buy-in, and build competency in the CAPS team.

  • Have a good understanding of systems used in HR including Workday, Visier, Salesforce, and others as determined

In this role, the Corrective Actions & Performance Solutions Specialist (CAPS) will ensure our people leaders experience the best of Employee Care by providing support to people leaders as they reach out to Employee Care requesting coaching and guidance in keys areas of disciplinary actions, performance improvement plan, and other employee matters. Key Responsibilities

1.Case Management - Utilize Salesforce case management system to manage case escalations, provide case handling support, analyze, track, and report volume and top topic trends to proactively support the employee experience and build team capabilities. Manage Workday queue to ensure complete documentation and timely responses to disciplinary actions and performance improvement plans submitted by people leaders

2.Customer Focus - Manage complex cases and provide first point of escalation to people leaders for employee matters, providing practical, solution-oriented employee management advice and support while managing legal, reputational, and operational risk

3.Collaboration - Build strong, collaborative relationships with partners across the enterprise. Partner with Employee Care Leaders, HR, and other Enterprise functions to assist with project work ensuring a collaborative approach to the project productivity, timelines, and goals.

4. HR Core Processes - Understand and coach leaders on enterprise and business unit/function-specific processes such as progressive disciplinary action and performance improvement plans. Clarify how the process works and the people leader's role in the process.

Minimum Job Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):

  • 4+ years of relevant Human Resources experience - general (employee relations, compensation, talent management, learning & development, etc.)

  • Strong communication skills and presence to establish creditability of the function, drive collaboration and buy-in, and to build competency for the organization

  • Strong team enabler with the ability to influence, guide, and coach leadership; seen as a natural leader and go-to for others

  • Process Improvement experience, providing solutions

  • Create an environment of trust that enables teams to work effectively and collaborate with their team and with others

  • Experience with HR software like Workday, Salesforce, and Visier. Willingness and ability to learn new and emerging HR technical functionality

  • Presentation building, writing and documentation skills

Critical Skills

  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment with minimum supervision

  • Effective communication is essential for a Corrective Action and Performance Solutions Specialist. You'll need to be an active listener, empathetic, and able to convey information clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing.

  • Ability to identify the root cause and devise effective solutions is vital.

  • Ability to make decisions balancing the risk-reward trade off

  • Demonstrated Relationship Management ability - experience building multiple effective partnerships

  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills are required in order to interact with all levels of management and staff

  • Proven strengths in influencing, analysis, and problem-solving

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

  • Typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions

  • Ability to operate a laptop

  • Traditional office environment

  • Hours of operation for the Employee Care team are 9am - 7pm ET Monday - Friday. Must be able to provide coverage until 7pm ET.

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$74,700 - $124,500
