Job Description

REACH YOUR POTENTIAL | COLLABORATE WITH AMAZING PEOPLE | MAKE CHANGE HAPPEN

Do you have the skills, passion, and commitment to transform our Retail & CPG clients for the better? Are you ready to be a changemaker? If so, join us. North Highland is the world's leading change and transformation consultancy. Simply put, we make change happen like no one else. And we're on the hunt for a new Associate Vice President to join us.

HOW WILL YOU MAKE CHANGE HAPPEN?

As a member of our Retail & CPG Exec team, you'll help clients to solve some of their most challenging problems, providing them with practical ways to sustainably impact their business. Our specialists look at organizations holistically to truly understand what is driving inefficiencies, from over complex processes, ineffective ways of working or lack of end-to-end visibility of their services. We get to the bottom of how a client can do more with what they have. You'll be a key player in all of this, bringing new methodologies and driving innovation using advancements in intelligent automation and process mining.

  • AVPs are the growth catalysts for the firm. You're involved in selling, delivering, and building teams. You are part of all aspects of growth - [end to end ownership].
  • As an Executive at North Highland, you will have the ability to own and manage a portion of our business. These are entrepreneurial roles. This includes everything from setting the strategy for your account(s), selecting, and developing your team, and growing the business in partnership with our experts from the practice.
  • With our 30+ years of experience in transformation, research on current and emerging client needs, and an evaluation of what we've delivered to clients over the last several years, we've narrowed our services to address the four critical components of any and every transformation: Workforce & Org Optimization, Data & Systems Modernization, Capability Building, and Transformation Management. Our practices combine integrated expertise to support client challenges in each and all these areas. This structure and approach provide an amazing environment to be exposed to all aspects of client transformation challenges and to work with a broad spectrum of talented and diverse individuals. It also really allows you to be both deep and broad in your expertise; and to be consistently challenged to further develop your career.

YOU WILL:

  • Lead work streams and teams to conduct process review projects and implement longer term improvement programs.
  • Manage own activities and work with team members to deliver desired business outcomes.
  • Focus on quality completion of deliverables.
  • Work directly with clients as a visible and engaged member of the team.
  • Establish positive relationships with clients and peers that build credibility, foster your support network, and empower career development.
  • Work with prestigious clients primarily located in the local area with some travel required.
  • Nurture your personal interests with our training program, which can be applied to professional activities and personal growth projects.
  • Give back to your community through impactful local projects.

IDEALLY, WE'D LIKE:

  • 10+ years of management consulting, advisory, professional services, industry, and/or Big 4 consulting experience.
  • Experience in process design, process improvement and show us how you have driven quantifiable and tangible benefits from client engagements in your career so far.
  • Demonstrated responsibility and experience in process focused client engagements within areas such as Operational Excellence, Cost Optimization, Process Re-engineering, Outsourcing, Offshoring and Automation.
  • Experience running engagements, managing teams, and driving desired business outcomes throughout delivery, as well as the ability to pinpoint gaps and omissions.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset, including an excellent ability to uncover new opportunities for account growth and impact.
  • An ability to authentically establish credibility, build consensus, and activate collaboration with clients and teammates.
  • A demonstrated track record of successfully leading on and selling consulting engagements, including roles that involved interfacing with senior-level clients.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with professional staff, senior level executives and the community at large.
  • Creative ingenuity and a proven ability to find or design simple solutions to complex challenges.
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited college/university.
