DART Manager

The DART Manager is responsible for the overall Discharge Process. Ensure appropriate policies, procedures, and standards are clear, socialized, and reinforced daily. Ensure there is a strong consistent discharge process in place. Develop and execute plans and logistics to ensure that all minors leaving our facility have a logistically seamless experience as well and leave equipped with a comprehensive easy-to-comprehend discharge packet that will set them up for success in their new home. Serve as a member of leadership convening stakeholders from a multi-disciplinary grouping of departments to include medical, case management, mental health, shelter, and education.

  • Pay commensurate with experience.

DART Manager Responsibilities Include:

  • Serves as a liaison between all shelter departments and stakeholders for the reunification process.
  • Ensures all required ORR-mandated documents are included in discharge packets, along with relevant descriptors understandable by sponsor.
  • In conjunction with departmental subject matter experts, creates and implements tracking and audit tools, along with measuring and accountability measures.
  • Serves as liaison with shelter management - those responsible for direct oversight of UC's - to ensure discharged minors are brought to the discharge center, have the necessary luggage to pack their things, and are properly fed and cared for.
  • Acts as a final safeguard to make sure no minors leave our care without their full medical record and any applicable medications and/or medical apparatuses.
  • Oversees the scheduling of employees within the discharge process and make final determinations about when surge staffing is required to accommodate large discharge cohorts
  • Compiles and reports discharge metrics to site and/or corporate leadership on a daily basis.
  • Identifies process and training gaps and liaises with appropriate departmental directors to ensure that quality checks at discharge uncover only minor errors and not systematic poor or inconsistent practice.
  • Oversights of the DART team to make sure packets for UC's are worked on at the moment of FFS approval, beginning the discharge preparation process well in advance of the time of travel.
  • Provide ongoing, small-group training to both leadership and line-staff regarding the process.
  • Oversights of discharge functions from UC Portal and internal systems.
  • Oversights of department timekeeping.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

DART Manager Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of ORR policies and procedures.
  • Exhibits excellent judgment with the ability to manage highly sensitive and confidential information.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in utilized software programs including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to prioritize, lead and manage multiple projects and tasks to successful completion.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
