Machine Operator 3

Position title: Machine Operator 3

Reports to: Production Supervisor

Supervises: N/A.

Position summary:

Operates various types of machines and utilizes various machines to sew to the proper specifications as outlined in the quality control procedure manual. Moves material from one section to another for maximum efficiency.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Check all safety devices to assure they are always in working order and in place
• Retrieve and/or distribute materials as needed
• Operate Flat Seam Machine
• Operate Difficult Automatic Machines
• Exceed Production/Quality Standard consistently for Level 1 & 2 Operations
• Meet Production/Quality Standards on regular basis for Level 3 Operations

Knowledge and Skills:

• Must have the ability to follow instructions
• Must have ability to understand written and/or verbal instructions
• Must be able to perform Material Handling Functions
• Ability to Perform any Single Needle Operation at a Competent Level
• Ability to Perform any Serging Operation at a Competent Level
• Ability to Set Collars, Topstitch, Attach Trim, and Attach Elbow Patches
• Ability to sit for long periods of time while maneuvering various objects/supplies

Education and work experience:

• Must be 18 years or older
• Can be trained to perform job
