Essential Functions:
- Oversee patient monitoring during procedures and document in EMR (Electronic Medical Record).
- Assistance with physician EMR data entry / charting.
- Assist Physician with sterile procedures.
- Turn over room between patients.
- Stock rooms daily while not in use.
- Set up and maintain sterile field.
- Clean & sterilize instruments.
- Assist patients with dressings as needed.
- Receive and stock medical supplies.
- Keep Physician and/or Administrator well-informed of activities, results of efforts, and problems identified.
- Maintain a thorough working knowledge of and adhere to organizational policies, regulations, and procedures.
- Maintains confidentiality of the organization's patients, personnel, and practice-related information.
- Complete annual OSHA and HIPAA training.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Required Certifications & License:
- Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Current RN license to practice in NC (NC licensure or multi-state (compact) license).
- 1-3 years preferred and recent acute care experience within past 3 years preferred.
