PERSON MEMORIAL HOSPITAL
Utilizes the nursing process including: assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and recording of
patient care. Teaches, delegates and supervises other nursing staff in the provision of care. Coordinates
services with other members of the health-care team to provide complex patient care. Practices within the
scope of the North Carolina Nurse Practice Act and Person Memorial Hospital policies/procedures/standards.
Reports to: Emergency Room Director
FLSA: Non-exempt
Minimum Education:
Successful completion of the Nursing Diploma Program or an Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited
school is required.
Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Required Skills:
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be
able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Licenses:
Registered Nurse License
Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) is required upon hire. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and
Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) is required within 90 days of hire.
Minimum Work Experience:
Recommend 2-3 years of recent experience a healthcare setting.
