Position Summary:

Wilson Medical Center in Wilson, NC has an opening for RN - Infection Prevention.

As a member of the Infection Control Team:

* In consultation and collaboration with the Infection Control Committee, establishes, documents, administers and evaluates plan for the surveillance and control of infections, sanitation and reporting of communicable disease cases.

* Serves as a resource and educator to staff and departments on infection control matters.

* Prepares, processes or maintains required records, reports, logs and other documentation.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred

Current NC or multistate RN licensure required, with two years of experience in the practice of infection control or a related field.

Certification in Infection Control through the CBIC and completion of a formal epidemiology training program preferred.
