Master Scheduler

Responsible for the master schedule of the facility according to projects, specifications, priorities and resources. Implements and revises the planning and scheduling processes. Ensures the ERP systems are appropriately updated and meets the continuing needs of the business.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Estimated Starting Salary Range for Master Scheduler
  • Pay commensurate with experience.

Master Scheduler Responsibilities Include:

  • Reviews, revises and approves the production schedules according to projects, contract specifications, overall customer priorities, and resources.
  • Coordinates with production supervisors, support functions, and the management team to ensure accurate and complete scheduling data and that the production teams can meet customer delivery deadlines.
  • Approves adjustments as needed to the weekly/daily production schedules to fulfill customer obligations and balance resources.
  • Revises and implements planning and scheduling processes.
  • Ensures ERP systems are maintained. Works with production leadership to help resolve production issues.
  • Provides strategic partnership for updates to MRP/ERP systems.
  • Helps champion management initiatives in production, quality and other areas.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Master Scheduler Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Bachelor's degree and eight or more years of production scheduling experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Production and Inventory Management certification required (or must be obtained within three years of start date).
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, drawings and technical descriptions.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office software and web-based applications such as those used in manufacturing operations and production and inventory management.
  • Requires strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, organizational and time management skill with strong attention to detail.
  • Requires the ability to work with cross-functional groups, coordinated work activities at all levels, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build internal/external relationships.
  • Quickly understand technical problems and can formulate the best resources to resolve and implement technical solutions.
  • Past applicable job experience may include, but is not limited to: Scheduling Manager, Production Scheduler, or Operations Scheduler
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
