Position Summary:

The Supervisor works with and coordinates the training of other nursing and ancillary personnel to maintain educational requirements and professional standards. Is responsible for the ongoing assessment of Quality Assurance (QA)/Infection Control (IC) activities for the long-term care center, including developing measures for assuring quality resident care and resident classification systems. Work is of a highly confidential nature. Performs other duties of the department as required.

RNs assume overall responsibility for nursing staff on a specific shift in order to ensure quality nursing care for the residents.

LPNs assume overall responsibility for nursing staff on a specific unit in order to ensure quality nursing care for the residents.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduation from a Nursing Education program and unrestricted or active current NC or multistate RN or LPN licensure required.
Required Skills
The employee must have the ability to understand, communicate and react effectively to the unique needs of adolescent, adult and geriatric residents.
BLS required, or obtained during first week of hire
