UNCG and the Department of Public Health Education are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive population of students, faculty, and staff and are proud of our alumni serving in advocacy, service, teaching, and research positions. The department offers the 8th nationally ranked , a CEPH-accredited degree, and a BS in public health education with concentrations in and (online). | Position Summary | The at the University of North Carolina Greensboro (UNCG) seeks collaborative, social justice-oriented scholars to join our dynamic and supportive faculty. We invite applications for two tenure track positions - one at the Assistant Professor level and one at either the Assistant or tenured Associate Professor level- to begin August 1, 2024. We are seeking a candidate who will: (a) work to promote health equity and social justice through examining and addressing social determinants of health; (b) establish a robust research agenda that integrates students and complements and/or extends departmental strengths; ( c ) teach and provide professional mentorship across graduate and undergraduate programs; (d) work closely with students in our PhD program by serving on doctoral program committees, dissertation committees, and providing broad professional mentorship; and (e) provide meaningful service to the department, school, university, and profession. Additional consideration will be given to candidates with strong quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods research skills, and those with training and experience in community-engaged research.
