Position Summary:

The Administrative Supervisor oversees the operations of the organization when management is not in-house. The Administrative Supervisor will coordinate staffing, emergency situations, disposition of deceased persons, admissions, discharges and transfers, patient and/or family concerns and communicate with the Administrator on Call as needed.

1. Evaluates the bedside staffing needs across the organization and works with department schedules, staffing grids, and patient acuity to assign nursing staff when management is not in house to meet productivity targets.
2. Monitors, responds to, manages, and reports patient safety issues as appropriate.
3. Uses crucial conversations skills to address employee and patient/family concerns.
4. Provides clinical expertise in the management of medical and behavioral health emergencies.
5. Directs staff in response to emergencies, usually acting as the Incident Commander until the role needs to be or can be reassigned.
6. Assists with locating needed supplies or equipment for staff and providers.
7. Schedules OR cases and notifies on-call staff when necessary.
8. Performs Employee Health duties as necessary.
9. Acts as the hospital representative to the community in conjunction with the Administrator on Call.
10. Completes shift report and communicates per policy.
11. Coordinates appropriate disposition of deceased persons, including DOAs, Medical Examiner cases, and organ procurement situations.
12. Provides patient care as needed.

Qualifications
Minimum Education
Required Education:

Associate's degree Preferred x Required
Bachelor's degree x Preferred Required

Required Skills
Minimum of 3 years RN experience required

Required License/Certifications:
RN
BLS required, or obtained during the first week of hire
ACLS

Handle with Care - to be obtained within 6 months

Schedule Full-time
Work Schedule 2nd shift, less than 7 hr/shift, rotate weekends
