Gathers insurance estimates and manages insurance authorizations.
Manages the schedule by refilling openings, scheduling people on the waitlist and scheduling recurring patients.
Gathers signatures needed for plans of care and sends them to the appropriate parties.
Interacts with the therapists and follows up on inquiries and problems as appropriate.
Assists in care and maintenance of department equipment.
Prepares a chart for each patient verifying and collecting information.
Receives, screens, and routes telephone calls.
Orders office and clinical supplies as requested.
Discharges patients in multiple systems and monitors when patients should be discharged.
Assists with management reports and tasks as needed.
Interacts with Medical Records department and works with patients who have issues with billing and/or appointments.
