The Cell Analysis division at Agilent provides tools that go beyond standard end-point assays and look much deeper into cell function. The Cell Analysis division at Agilent began with the Gold Standard Seahorse XF technology, which provides insight into live cell metabolism in real-time. The Cell analysis portfolio also integrates workflows from other Agilent Cell analysis product lines focusing on live-cell imaging and viability. Combining real-time cell analysis with our Market-leading expertise in Metabolomics provides key insights for researchers that have not been accessible in the past.

The ideal candidate will reside in the SE territory.

The sales role is a highly technical role will cover a multistate territory that will include travel to Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.

Job Requirement:

Must consent to participate and meet Agilent approved customer/vendor credentialing requirements necessary to gain access to customer sites.

Requirements may include, but are not limited to, proof of identification, proof of certification to perform the work required, customer health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Grow our customer base by selling Cell Analysis Solutions (Seahorse, xCelligence, and Cell Imaging) to customers in the Southeast District: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.

  • Responsible for planning and executing highly technical strategic seminars and product demos in partnership with Field Application Scientists and Account Managers.

  • Responsible for selling capital equipment and consumables for Real Time Cell Analysis.

  • Develop unique ways to reach customers and maintain relationships.

  • Develop, nurture and follow-up on leads to convert to future sales.

  • Drive opportunities through the complete sales cycle that will vary from days to years.

  • Successfully navigate sophisticated sales transactions.

  • Build and deliver seminars that educate, increase awareness and interest, ultimately leading to new Agilent customers.

  • Handle demands and relationships to improve customer happiness while exceeding Agilent sales goals.

  • Provide market and product feedback to R&D.

  • Use CRM and other tools as required to drive business.

  • Serve on the sales team, lifting everyone to higher achievement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or an advanced degree: Master's or Ph.D. Degree in Biological Science, Biochemistry, or Life Sciences field with knowledge related to cellular analysis and/or cell function.

  • 2+ years of experience in industry in a research, application, or sales role.

  • Strong practical and theoretical knowledge of Cell Analysis Solutions or Capital Equipment.

  • Candidates with technical or research experience within oncology, toxicology and immunology expertise is a plus.

  • Ability to travel regionally throughout the Southeast to support sales as needed.

  • Knowledge or experience with Seahorse and Real-time Cell Analysis Solutions or similar is a plus.

  • Strategic selling competence and/or challenger sales experience plus.

  • Willingness to adopt new ways of connecting with customers

  • Requires general proficiency with tools, systems, and procedures to accomplish job.

  • Great written, verbal and presentation skills.

  • Ability to build and create relationships utilizing outstanding interpersonal skills.

  • Up to 50% Travel.
