Position Description:

About Covanta Environmental Solutions: Covanta Environmental Solutions offers comprehensive industrial material management services to companies seeking solutions to some of today's most complex environmental challenges. With a nationwide network of treatment, recycling and energy-from-waste facilities, Covanta Environmental Solutions enables customers to mitigate risk and reach their sustainability goals.

The Inside Sales Manager (ISM) role encompasses many areas of responsibility, including lead generation, expansion of existing business, and customer retention. The ISM will manage a team that is focused on qualifying leads, routing leads and appointments to Sales Personnel, and having proactive communication with customers identified as being at risk. The ISM will set and track sales targets for the Inside Sales Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Inside Sales Representatives Team members
  • Set, track, report on, and manage Sales targets for the Inside Sales Team
  • Identify and implement improvements to the Sales administration process
  • Liaise with Sales, Client Service, Operations, and Marketing to improve and ensure brand value
  • Work directly with a representative sample of Customers on Inside Sales support

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree (accredited) in Business, Marketing, or Sales preferred, or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and the ability to demonstrate relevant experience
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and improve a Sales process and Sales Team
  • Experience using CRM software to manage individual and team performance
  • Ability to collaborate and build effective relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize, meet deadlines and work independently with initiative in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to follow detailed oral and written instructions
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with various computer software packages to specifically include Microsoft Office products
