Position at HBF

HBF, an industry leader in office furniture design and manufacturing, and a top brand in the HNI Corporation enterprise, is in search of a Charger to join our team in Hickory, NC! 

Some of the essential aspects of the position include:

  • Primary Purpose: Expedites and lines up products to prepare production.

What it takes:

  • Effectively communicates daily schedules, goals, quality issues/concerns between departments. Follow proper escalation of issues.
  • Assign work assignments based on daily schedule for the team. Maintain flow and schedule thru department.
  • Checks parts and sub-parts for accuracy.
  • Required to operate machines when needed to eliminate a bottleneck, or maintain production throughput.
  • Ensures members are trained to the appropriate production instructions and ensures they are follow processes.
  • Responsible for counting inventory as needed.
  • Assists in the final inspection of all products.
  • Responsible for all paperwork and ticket processing and recording in the department.
  • Qualifications and or experience required:

    1-3 years’ experience in a furniture manufacturing environment or similar fast -paced environment is referred

    Must be able to work independently and as a team

    Must be able to fill in on the production floor

    Must understand product and supplies required for the area

    Must be able to follow standard work

    Must have good time-management skills

    Must have ability to consistently meet high quality/quantity performance standards

    Must comply with company rules, regulations and safety practices
