Job Description | The Junior Braves program is designed to motivate and inspire young learners to explore and excel at challenging activities. Enrichment classes provide opportunities for students to increase their knowledge and improve academic skills. The academically challenging classes are designed to foster development of independent learning strategies as well as offer new experiences, discoveries, challenges and excitement. This position involves teaching rising 1st through rising 5th graders. Applicants should be interested in learning how to use science, technology, math and reading to help make academic connections in their groups, as well as, create new and exciting experiences for campers. They should be patient, highly motivated, dependable and enthusiastic individuals, interested in hands-on activities, and are able to work well with peers and children. Should possess good leadership abilities, management and organizational skills. Help guide Camp Counselors and Camp Volunteers to have a deeper understanding of leadership and counseling skills. Have a warm, supportive attitude toward children and families of all cultures. Be flexible and willing to adapt to changes in the program. Be willing to accept supervision in order to improve work performance. Help write and implement a weekly schedule for camp group. Responsible for submitting ordering requests to Director and having equipment ready and functioning on a daily basis. Week 1: June 10-14, grades 1st - 2nd Week 2: June 17-21, grades 3rd - 5th |
