Assembler/Packer

Position title: Assembler/Packer
Reports to: Department Supervisor
Supervises: N/A

Position summary:
Performs manual labor along a production line as well as pick and pack orders in a timely manner utilizing the least amount of time, motion, materials and space as possible. May perform minor repairs as necessary.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Responsible for quality control and to make adjustments as needed in order to produce a product within specifications.
  • Must operate within standard operating procedures and safety rules and regulations.
  • Must be detailed oriented.
  • The ability to understand and follow instructions.
  • Maintain a clean work area.
  • Able to work with speed and accuracy.
  • The ability to communicate with other operators in a professional manner.
  • The ability to perform more than one operation along the assembly line.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift at least 20 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Accurately count materials and/or products.
  • Must follow all safety rules and regulations and standard operating procedures

Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Must have the ability to follow instructions.
  • Must have ability to understand written and verbal specifications and translate.
  • Can operate a variety of machines.

Education and work experience:

  • On the job training provided.
  • Must be considered LEGALLY BLIND
