Position Summary | The UNCSA School of Drama is looking for a teacher of acting and directing with expertise in the literature/performance history of one or more historically marginalized groups, for example Indigenous theater and performance, Latinx Theater traditions, Queer theater history and traditions, Asian performance traditions, etc. Preference for a teacher who synthesizes multiple methodologies into their own unique approach to acting, with a strong emphasis on text analysis AND physical approaches to acting and character.

Required Qualifications | The UNCSA School of Drama recognizes that not all teaching is done in a traditional classroom setting and we are able to hire artists based on their work experience; therefore, we encourage all that are interested to apply.
Faculty teaching undergraduate level courses must possess: Earned doctorate/master's degree in the teaching discipline or a related discipline or earned master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline OR Equivalent professional/experiential qualifications OR Equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
